SALARY AND TOP INCENTIVES
- Starting recruit salary of $74,459 for 2025
- Significant yearly pay increases – make over $95,000 in your 3rd year

Additional Benefits
The Indianapolis Metro Police Department has numerous benefits that include:
- Hazard Duty and Technical Pay $529.00 per year
- Field Training Pay $1300.00 per year – 8% of base hour rate (per hour with trainee)
- Shift Differential Pay 3% of base hour rate per hour
- College Incentive Pay $250 per 30 credit hours, $1000.00 maximum for a 4-year degree – additional $250.00 Master’s or Doctoral degree
- Uniform allowance of $2,600
- Bi-lingual, FTO, and other special duty additional pay incentives
