Officer Molly McAfee was born and raised on the west side of Indianapolis and is a graduate of Ben Davis High School. She attended Florida Atlantic University on an athletic scholarship, earning a bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in History. Her career in public safety began in 2006 with the Plainfield Fire Department, and in 2015, she transitioned to IMPD. Over the years, Officer McAfee has served as a Field Training Officer and Robbery Detective, and she is currently assigned to the Recruiting Unit. She is also pursuing a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling. In her spare time, she enjoys competing in triathlons and hiking.
